Getting started with dynamic and static QR Code creation

QR Codes provide efficient means to encode and share information of any type easily. With The QR Code Generator, you can now easily create different types of QR Codes and share them in any format.

Prerequisites

While you can create static and dynamic QR Codes in the Free plan offered by The QR Code Generator, you can upgrade to the Essential plan or above to:

  • Create more than 2 Dynamic QR Codes

  • Download QR Codes in all resolutions and SVG format

  • Experience Ad-free scan

Create Dynamic QR Codes

Create a website URL

  1. Sign in to your The QR Code Generator account

  2. Click QR Codes in the left menu, then click Dynamic.

  3. Click + Create QR Code.

  4. Choose the type of QR Code campaign you want to create. In, if you want to create a QR Code to redirect the viewers to a website, choose URL.

  5. Enter the relevant website URL.

  6. If you want to link your Google Analytics tracking parameters to the QR Code to track the scans, click on the speaker icon in the right corner of the URL field.

  7. Enter the relevant parameters and click Confirm.

Customize your QR Code

  1. Click the colour palette icon below the QR Code preview to customize the design and colour of the QR Code

  2. You can also upload any relevant logo that you want to display over the QR Code

  3. Click Done

  4. You can also select any one design from the templates and further customize it

Share your QR Code

You can share your QR code in two ways:

  • Copy and paste the QR Code:

    • Click on the copy icon below the QR Code preview

    • Choose the image resolution, then paste it anywhere you want to share

  • Download the QR Code:

    • Click Download below the QR code preview

    • Enter a name for the QR Code

    • Choose the image resolution and the format in which you want to download

    • Click Download, then share your QR Code anywhere you want

Create Static QR Codes

Create a website URL

  1. Sign in to your The QR Code Generator account

  2. Click QR Codes in the left menu, then click Static

  3. Choose the type of QR Code campaign you want to create. In, if you want to create a QR Code to redirect the viewers to a website, choose URL.

  4. Enter the relevant website URL

  5. If you want to link your Google Analytics tracking parameters to the QR Code to track the scans, click on the speaker icon in the right corner of the URL field

  6. Enter the relevant parameters and click Confirm

Note: PDF, Multi-URL and App types are only available for dynamic QR Codes.

Customize your QR Code

  1. Click the color palette icon in the Preview section to customize the design and colour of the QR Code

  2. Click Done

  3. You can also select any one design from the templates and further customize it.

Note: Static QR code type does not support logo upload.

Share your QR Code

You can share your QR code in two ways:

  • Copy and paste the QR Code:

    • Click on the copy icon below the QR code preview.

    • Choose the image resolution, then paste it anywhere you want to share.

  • Download the QR Code:

    • Click Download below the QR code preview.

    • Enter a name for the QR code.

    • Choose the image resolution and the format in which you want to download.

    • Click Download, then share your QR code anywhere you want.​

Organize your QR Codes using folders

You can further classify and organize your Dynamic QR Codes in folders.


Note: You can only create folders for Dynamic QR code type.


  1. Sign in to your The QR Code Generator account

  2. Click QR Codes in the left menu, then click Dynamic

  3. Click on the Create Folder icon next to the + Create QR Code

  4. Enter the folder name

  5. Click Create

  6. You can organize your QR Codes by moving them into the folder by doing one of the following:

    • Open the folder and click + Create QR Code to create your QR codes within the folder.

    • Right-click on the QR code, then click Move to folder. Choose the appropriate folder.

  7. To create a sub-folder within a folder, click on the required folder. Once you are within the folder, click on the Create Folder icon next to the + Create QR Code.
